Something truly special is taking shape at Gateway to Innovation (G2i), and the School District of Pickens County is inviting the community to be part of its future.

G2i will be the first facility of its kind in South Carolina, creating hands-on career exploration and technical education opportunities for students across Pickens County. It will also hold a unique place within the district as the only school that every SDPC student will attend multiple times throughout their educational journey.

Through age-appropriate, hands-on experiences, students will have opportunities to explore careers, work with innovative technology and equipment, develop new skills, and discover interests and possibilities they may not have previously considered.

Support for G2i is already growing. Industry partners and companies from across the country have invested in the facility's vision and the opportunities it will create for students. However, building G2i's future is not limited to large corporations.

Individuals, families, churches, civic organizations, and local businesses can also play an important role.

Sponsorships of every size help G2i provide innovative equipment, technology, instructional materials, and real-world learning experiences for students. Each investment contributes to a larger goal: creating opportunities that can positively impact students, strengthen the future workforce, and benefit the Pickens County community for generations to come.

“We want our community to know that everyone can be part of what we are building at G2i,” said G2i Director Tim Johnson. “You do not have to be a large company to make a meaningful difference. Every partnership and every sponsorship helps us create more opportunities for the students of Pickens County.”

Those who believe in investing in the next generation are invited to join G2i as a sponsor and help build a future filled with opportunity for every student.
