Pickens, SC - Gateway to Innovation (G2i) recently welcomed members of the Greater Pickens Chamber of Commerce for a special sneak peek of the new facility and the opportunities it will soon provide for students across the School District of Pickens County.

During the visit, G2i leaders shared the vision for Gateway to Innovation, highlighted the progress underway throughout the facility, and discussed the innovative learning experiences that will connect students to career exploration, hands-on learning, and future-ready skills.

The visit also provided an opportunity for community and business leaders to see firsthand how G2i is being designed to serve students while strengthening connections between education, local industry, and the broader Pickens County community.

“We are grateful for the interest, support, and excitement surrounding Gateway to Innovation,” said G2i Director Tim Johnson. “Having our community and business leaders visit the facility and see the progress firsthand makes us even more excited about what is ahead for our students.”

Gateway to Innovation will begin welcoming students in Spring 2027, with full implementation planned for August 2027.
